Additional information

This is the first peer-reviewed paper reporting independent comparisons of the overtopping performance of almost all of the commonly-used, proprietary and non-proprietary concrete armour units used for seawalls and breakwaters. The results form Table 6.2 in “EurOtop” (ISBN:9783804210646), the standard civil engineering design guide for best-practice (UK, Netherlands and Germany). EurOtop has logged 8300 downloads from 89 countries. Continuing Professional Development courses on its use attended by 400 (Tim Pullen, HR Wallingford (email available)). This work, in the EU CLASH consortium, has been influential in international academic research (DoI:10.4028/www.scientific.net/AMM.226-228; DoI:10.1016/j.coastaleng.2008.03.007).
