Additional information

Interference management is the key challenge in large-scale cognitive networks. This work is the first to propose network collaboration in large-scale cognitive networks. The aim is to effectively manage the transmit power at the secondary network relative to the interference power at the primary network in multi-tiered overlay networks. Subsequently, this work resulted in a conference publication entitled 'Cognitive MIMO relaying in Nakagami-m fading' which won the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC), Dresden, Germany, June 2013.
