Additional information

This paper demonstrates for the first time a dispersive FDTD method for modelling invisible electromagnetic cloak. This work was firmly built upon the success of metamaterials research led by Prof. Hao at QMUL, which has attracted over £2.5M funding from EPSRC, TSB and Office of Naval Research, USA since 2003. The highlight since 2008 includes the publication of book 'FDTD Modelling of Metamaterials' (co-authored with Raj Mittra) and knowledge transfer through a TSB Technology Programme aim to produce 'Advanced Materials for Ubiquitous Leading-edge Electromagnetic Technologies (AMULET)'. Contacts: Prof. Raj Mittra, Penn State University, USA (mittra@engr.psu.edu); Dr Robert Pearson, Cobham/ERA (Robert.Pearson@cobham.com).
