Additional information

Time-domain spin resonance in an organic solar cell was observed by monitoring the transport current. A spin dependent bipolaron transport mechanism was inferred. This work has established capability in the UK; these were the first pulsed electrically detected measurements performed and provided an important input to the successful EPSRC Centre of Doctoral Training in integrated Magnetic Resonance application from the Dundee - St Andrews mode of this CDT. This work has recently been the focus of a commentary article in Nature Nanotechnology (Nature Nanotech 8 p612) and an invited reply.
