Additional information

These poems reflect several important aspects of my research and creative work: concerns with linguistic, cultural and geographical specifics which inform depictions of place, combined with an element of life-writing, which sets them in the context of personal experience and response to the landscape. The representation of these concerns in poetic form allows for the personal experience to articulate the landscape without requiring the long narrative forms of much life-writing, but also to pay attention to sound and linguistic play in a way which would not normally feature in cultural geography.
