Additional information

The paper represents the first example of an in depth study focusing on the chemical and morphological changes attributed to dewatering in lime based mortars. Results from this paper were presented during an invited lecture at the Summit on Sustainable Habitat in Delhi, December 2011. They are particularly important as they highlight that the use of steel moulds for manufacturing European Standard prism samples give lower sample strengths attributed to the absence of dewatering.
