Additional information

Addresses the problem of ambient vibration testing and uncertainty using fast Bayesian identification of modal properties, typically in a matter of seconds, even in the case of practical on-site testing. Follow-on work provided validation of the method by numerical and experimental tests (Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing 26(1); evidence file Au1-2.pdf). Evidence of the value of this research includes the monitoring of super-tall buildings (Nina Tower II (300m), One Island East (300m) and Guang Zhou New TV Tower (600m)) during typhoons, carried out in collaboration with Ove Arup (contact:Alex.To@arup.com;Evidence file: Au1-1.pdf).
