Additional information

This paper provides a method which improves on both the accuracy and speed of analysis for the reliability prediction of phased mission systems. These new capabilities open up a totally new field of application for autonomous systems (such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems (UAVs)) where they can be applied in real time as part of the mission decision making process. Predictions on mission success can be updated in response to events occurring (failures, weather conditions, threats etc) enabling a correct and timely response.
