Additional information

<20> This paper introduces a new methodology for the design of intelligent support in exploratory learning environments, aiming to address the lack of a clear methodology in a field where the usual AI approaches are not effective. This methodology was used in the design of the intelligent support provided by the MiGen system (see Impact Case Study 3) and in the ongoing FP7 project iTalk2Learn. This paper extends a paper presented at the Computer-Assisted Learning 2009 conference which the conference organisers recommended for extension and submission to Computers & Education.
