Additional information

Franco Fabbri and I collaborated equally on every aspect of editing this 19-chapter book. Together we envisaged the volume, commissioned the essays, worked in detail with contributors (taking every chapter through several versions), organised the overall structure and sequence (used subsequently as the template for the Routledge Global Popular Music Series, edited by Fabbri and myself), authored the Preface, the Introduction, the Preambles to the three parts, the Afterword (a unique conversation with composer Ennio Morricone) and the final general bibliography on Italian popular music studies. Additionally, I authored my own chapter, ‘Naples Power: Neapolitan Sounds of the 1970s’.
