Additional information

The last of four major papers from a fully industrially sponsored PhD programme (CSEM, Neuchatel, Switzerland – industrial supervisor deceased). It relates to the processing of special hard coatings for, e.g., disc-drive platters and, while data has been made public, company use of detail is proprietary. Yvonne Gerbig won a fellowship to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA on the basis of her PhD work (yvonne.gerbig@nist.gov) and continues there.
