Additional information

The research carried out in this paper is supported by several industries and governmental agencies in Egypt. The work was initiated with an extensive collaboration between the University of Sunderland, UK and Ain Shams University, Egypt to meet the requirements of higher torque values at all engine speeds using a new variable valve timing system (VVT), which gives continuously variable valve actuation at all engine speeds. The outcomes from experimental and numerical analysis created solid knowledge and provided a clear direction to analyse the electromagnetic variable valve timing control systems of spark ignition engine performance improvement
