Additional information

This is a second edition of a book that was shortlisted for the Cavendish Book Prize in 2001 and was described by Richard Sherwin as the ‘law and film movement’s founding text’. This edition is some 50% longer than the original, and further develops a theoretical approach to the area, including new chapters on iconography in British Law Film (ch 5), extended chapters on ethnicity (ch 15 and sex (ch14) and importantly the work develops a new take on the notion of genre (chs4, 5 and 16) which underpins the work.
