Additional information

<22>Published in the leading journal for logic and its applications in computing, a unique application of formal argumentation is presented in this paper. This is used to analyse and represent reasoning about judicial hierarchy, jurisdiction, and the appeals process, which previously had not been formalised. The article builds on a prior conference paper by the same authors: Modelling judicial context in argumentation frameworks. Proceedings of COMMA 2008, pages 417–428. IOS Press. It lays a foundation for further rigorous and systematic analysis of the judicial system.
