Additional information
Paper studies, experimentally and theoretically, snap-through characteristics of bi-stable composite plate. Such plates are potential basis of morphing winglets to improve aircraft efficiency. Work was part of justification for non-linear modal analysis and testing work-package in EPSRC Programme Grant on "Engineering nonlinearity" (EP/K003836/1, £4.2M, 2012-7). Paper is in top 3% of most-cited in journal since publication (Web of Science, 22/10/13).
