Additional information

<28>IF=5.323. This paper presents an original idea for identifying common distributions in population abundance using omics data of different organisms. The work has been applied in a collaborative systems biology project, aiming to characterise plant-pathogen interaction which resulted in a high impact publication in the Plant journal (63(3):443-457); Lu is the only computer scientist contributing to this applied paper which has attracted 44 Google cites. The idea and findings have also been applied to next generation sequence data (US: UCLA, Chicago, UK: MRC lab Cambridge, Heriot-Watt), phenotypic variation data (Berry College, US), and for biomarker prediction (Lilly Research Lab, US).
