<22> IF=2.632. The very first paper that explores the uncertain region in the rough sets area for data mining tasks. The work has been further developed internationally, both theoretically (eg. Harvard, USA; City, Hong Kong; East China University; Yarmouk, Jordan; Indian Stat Institute) and for applications (eg.Tongji and Zhejiang, China; Western Michigan, USA). The work also led to publication of an IEEE-TKDE article (Mac Parthalain, Shen and Jensen, IEEE T Knowledge and Data Engineering, 22(3):305-317) which has itself attracted 49 Google citations, and which is not returned for REF. Pattern Recognition is a leading journal in the subject area.
