Additional information

<20>Part of ongoing work to investigate multi-sensory (MS) and multi-modal (MM) interactions especially data exploration. It is fundamental because few researchers have investigated principles of interaction for haptic systems and fewer have considered haptic data visualization systems. This has started to make impact on standards; it was presented at the 2013 International AR Standards Meeting. Principles can be readily applied to other domains (e.g., haptic rehabilitation, games, wearables), current work is investigating rehabilitation. The MS and MM domain will continue to grow fast, with ubiquity of haptics (e.g., Kinect, WiiMotes in games market) and current push to more non-WIMP interfaces.
