<26>Bangor University has a patent application filed based on our contribution to this work – UK Patent Application Number 1001399.3. The simulator has been rigorously validated by our collaborators (during 2009-10) with full ethical approval being obtained. Content, face and construct validity and skills transfer studies have been published and show that the simulator does provide a valid training environment with a demonstrable improvement of users’ performance.
