Additional information

Involving collaboration with the Norwegian Institute for Energy Technology, and funded by the Multiphase Flow Assurance Center (FACE) (contact: Kristian Sveen jks@ife.no, http://www.sintef.no/sfiface), this work was the first to develop and test non-local closure models associated with particle transport in turbulent boundary layers. Follow-up work, aimed at implementing such developments within computational tools for nuclear accident safety case studies is now supported by the European Severe Accident Research Network programme SARNET2 (www.sar net.eu/node/4).
