Additional information

This is the very first paper to report on quantitative macromixing characterisation of fluid in a spinning disc reactor (SDR), conclusively establishing for the very first time the operating conditions for plug-flow behaviour. These results will be instrumental in modelling of reactions in the SDR flow field, to be undertaken to evaluate process intensification in early stage processes, a 3-year collaborative project between - Newcastle University and ICES, Singapore, recently awarded by GSK and the Economic Development Board (EDB) in Singapore, under the Green and Sustainable Manufacturing (GSM) programme (http://www.ace.gsk.com/GSM/Home.aspx)
