Risk-based decision making in early chemical process development of pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries
The research presented in this paper makes a significant contribution to the area of chemical process decision making in early stage development, and was carried out as part of the EPSRC “Process 2020 Innovation SatNav” project (EP/F016913/1; £242k). The resulting decision tools have subsequently been developed further through the “Early phase process development toolkit (InsidePharmasystems)” project (EPSRC Follow on Funds; EP/I006303/1; £94k) to be exploited via the BRITEST consortium (contact Mark Talford; mark.talford@britest.co.uk), giving wide exposure of the multi-objective decision making to practitioners.
