This paper develops a new mathematical model to explain the location of cavitation clusters within the liquid by combining Analytical Mechanics Principles with Fluid Mechanics. This work was part of Dr.Gonzalo Garcia-Atance PhD dissertation which was sponsored by SKF. The location of cavitation clusters in ultrasonic cavitation is explained using Hamilton’s principle.
