Double-weighted statement

This monograph represents the culmination of a five year project (3.5 years PhD plus further research and refinement). The socio-legal and cross-national approach adopted, combining doctrinal evaluation across several different legal contexts (national and supranational) with qualitative empirical work, demanded a considerable level of analytical attention. While the book was published in the earlier part of the REF period, it reports on the first of two, linked large-scale empirical projects exploring the post-accession experiences of migrant workers. Socio-legal, qualitative work of this scale necessarily demands considerable time for fieldwork and analysis before final publication.
