<21> This paper is based on the results of earlier EU-funded project "Sustainable Accommodation in the New Economy" (IST-2000-25257) and Leverhulme grant for the project on 'Conversational Intelligence' (F/07537/M). It provided the basis for establishing a multi-disciplinary PhD programme for externally-funded candidates from Cyprus, Greece, United Arab Emirates, Finland and UK where mixed-methods for the study of people and technology issues was developed, tested and implemented in collaborative projects with PA College Cyprus, Aegean University Greece, Yvaskula University Finland and Stanford University USA.
