Dr Ashby is a Consultant Nephrologist at the West London Renal and Transplant Centre, which is part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Prior to this, Dr Ashby was a clinical research fellow under Professor Steve Bloom in the Metabolic Medicine group at Imperial College until December 2008. He was then appointed Walport Clinical lecturer at Imperial College until he moved to the West London Renal and Transplant Centre on 31/10/11.
All of Dr Ashby's research during the REF assessment period is affiliated to Imperial. He also collaborates with Imperial academics in the Renal and Vascular Inflammation Section led by Professor Charles Pusey. These collaborations are reflected in the 6 published papers with Imperial colleagues during the REF period.
