Additional information

<28>This paper results from an international interdisciplinary collaboration between computational/mathematical neuroscientists, neurologists and neonatologists, formed to extend the results published in Berthouze et al. Clinical Neurophysiology 121(8), 1187-1197 (2010) to an earlier period of brain development. PLoS One is a leading, open access, journal in Biology. This study has led to a wider international collaboration with clinicians at Oslo University Hospital.
