Additional information

<31>This journal paper reports on the EPSRC-funded Cloud Benchmarking Project, and relates to two other EPSRC/JISC reports on Cloud Computing for Research and Cloud Costs (joint with Curtis+Cartwright). The journal paper is a fully peer-reviewed version of a technical report made available immediately after the project and which, allied to the dynamic online visualization, offers extensive experimental treatment of performance variability in Cloud systems. Such a treatment is important in generating Service Level Agreements, which are in turn vital for cloud service brokerages, which Gartner suggest will represent “the single largest revenue growth opportunity in cloud computing” through 2015.
