<27> This paper describes a systematic approach to the design and implementation of an Engineering Information System based upon Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) to overcome the limitations in developing a systematic approach to the design and implementation of an Engineering Information System based upon SOA. The work was funded by a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project and applied within an industrial SME, yielding significant benefits to both the SME and the understanding of the researchers involved.
