<22> The paper presents the results of international collaboration with researcher in Germany and the UK, funded by the European Commission on the INTERREG IVB North-West Europe programme. It brings together 19 partners and 14 observers across seven countries with the aim of developing sustainable technologies for algal biomass production. The algal biomass community currently does not employ any knowledge representation techniques to formalise and structure operational knowledge. Here we present a novel framework, LEAPS, that exploits Semantic Web and linked data for making the analysis of biomass potential in north-western Europe available to stakeholders, to be used by the consortium.
