Additional information

The paper introduces, for the first time, a new theory for visualisation on small screens, termed Adaptive Clutter Reduction (ACR). It allows for continuous interpretable visualisation of data analysis results, maintaining a maximum information level to the user. The theory has been applied and evaluated on data stream clustering on smartphones running the Android operating system. Due to the significance of the applications the theory serves, Monash University (a top Australian university, and a previous employer) had filed an Australian Provisional Patent (application number: 2009903925) to protect the intellectual property.
