Contesting Stories of Childhood Sexual Abuse

The text provides both academic and applied understandings of narratives of childhood sexual abuse and women’s engagement with therapeutic discourses and contextualises these issues within current policy frameworks. The text has been described as ‘important’, ‘challenging’ and ‘significant’. Peer reviewer comments of the manuscript included the statement that the text provides a ‘sophisticated understanding of social theory, in-depth knowledge of the harm reduction literature and a refined appreciation of qualitative methodology’. It merits double-weighting due to its size, application, assorted academic contributions and its international relevance.
