Additional information

This paper addresses a major technological challenge in the volume production of nanowire devices at relatively low cost through the novel use of printing technology, which is of paramount importance to the commercialisation of such devices that offer excellent performances in applications ranging from ultra-sensitive sensors to highly-efficient field emitters. This work, which is supported by the Welsh Government through the Academic Expertise for Business funding scheme (HE09COL1035), has led to two patents in pending and invitations to speak at major international conferences in the United States and China.
