This research, supported by EPSRC (two iCASE awards in collaboration with MA/COM and Copham) and with support from Nokia, has developed a measurement approach, which has been patented, with patents granted in North America and Europe. It has been presented at conferences, including International Microwave Symposium (IMS), the European Microwave Week (EuMW) and the Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC). These patents were transferred to Mesuro (contact Tudor Williams, tudorwilliams@mesuro.com), a Cardiff University spin-out company (Case Study 3) for commercial exploitation with first product launched in June 2013 (http://www.zacks.com/research/get-news.php?id=151u2167). The product was launched jointly with the multinational company National Instruments (contact: Marc.Vanden.Bossche@ni.com).
