Additional information
This is the first study which proved that these conditions can be detected by changes in the levels of molecules in the blood. This work led to the development of blood-based biomarker test for schizophrenia in a clinical setting (www.veripsych.com/ contact available on request). The follow up has involved extensive collaboration with clinical psychiatrists in Germany, The Netherlands and the USA, and with the Myriad-RBM biomarker facility in Austin, Texas, USA (contact available on request) in efforts to identify biomarker tests for schizophrenia, depression and bipolar disease.
