This paper provides for the first time clear-cut evidence of Saffman (as opposed to Batchelor) turbulence in a wind tunnel. This paper led to Davidson being invited to contribute to an invitation-only workshop organised by the University of Rouen in honour of the 70th birthday of Prof R Antonia (3/7/2013).
