Double-weighted statement

This book makes an original contribution to our understanding of the comparative contemporary history of post-socialist Eastern Europe. The core of the book is based on interviews conducted by a team of researchers, working under Swain’s direction, in 54 villages across six countries. The interpretation and analysis of the interview transcripts was carried out by Swain, as was the analysis of the national and local policy frameworks (privatisation, restitution, local government reform). Using comparative analysis across six Eastern European countries, Green Barons ... provides complex, critical insights into processes of large-scale social change.
