Commemorating the Holocaust: The Dilemmas of Remembrance in France and Italy

This book is a major historical monograph, published in a world-leading series (Oxford Historical Monographs, Oxford University Press). The research and writing of this book extended over a period of nearly ten years, and involved a programme of research that drew on holdings in more than a dozen different archives and specialist libraries in three European cities (Paris, Rome and Milan). The claim for double-weighting is based on the monograph's particularly extensive use of primary sources, and the fact that it represents 'the collection and analysis of a considerable body of material'.
