Double-weighted statement

In 2010, a scholarship allowed the author to develop his lectures and research over the past decade and prepare a comprehensive study of Lewis’ plays, having previously published chapters on his literary criticism. As evidenced by the bibliography, the book is also a study of the theatre’s poetics, analysing a broad range of authors, from Aristotle to Ayckbourn, and a number of theatrical productions. Furthermore, as explained in the introduction, the main part of the book was rewritten in dialogue form, combining creative writing and criticism. The Socratic dialogue is linked to the research sources by means of extensive footnotes.
