One of the quantitative measures used in the evaluation of the contrast enhancement method proposed in this paper, the edge-based contrast measure (EBCM), was adopted by the collaborative research group of Dr. Jongmin You (LG Innotek, Components & Materials R&D Center, Ansan, South Korea, jongmin.you@lginnotek.com. ) and Professor Jechang Jeong (Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering of Hanyang University, South Korea, jjeong@hanyang.ac.kr) in their development of a contrast enhancement method using histogram equalization based on logarithm mapping.
