Exploiting Equalization Techniques for Improving Data Rates in Organic Optoelectronic Devices for Visible Light Communications
This paper introduces novel indoor visible light communication systems employing silicon and organic LEDs and organic photodetector to increase the link data rate with equalization techniques. This is an international collaborative work between UK universities (UCL, Northumbria, Oxford) and industry (Siemens, Germany). It is part of the FP7 EU Cost Action IC1101, with 26 partners from 22 countries, (2011-2015). The work has led to a number of invited keynote talks at IEEE Photonics Society Summer Topical Meeting Series, 2012 (USA), IEEE & CIC Inter. Conf. on Communications in China (August 2012) and SPIE Photonics West 2013 (USA).
