This was part of EPSRC EP/H012966/1 ‘Novel thermal management of power electronic devices: high power high frequency planar Gunn diodes’ grant. This work has led to a further collaboration with universities of Aberdeen and Glasgow to design and fabricate micro-coolers with different junction lengths thermally characterised using infra-red (IR) particle sensors.
