Additional information

This work is the outcome of long standing and extensive research collaboration with the National University of Defence and Technology (NUDT), China. The article proposes for the first time a comprehensive model that takes into consideration three key factors (hidden nodes, capture effect and network density). Existing research considers each of these factors in isolation, therefore misscalculating the available end-to-end bandwidth on a multi-hop wireless route. The model and algorithms presented are proved to be both accurate and efficient. By using this framework, engineers can accurately provide throughput guarantees in multi-hop ad-hoc networks.
