Additional information

Hill’s chapter is in a volume she co-edited with Kimi Kärki and Michael Drewett. It is the first academic treatment of Peter Gabriel’s solo career and represents an international body of scholarship, with its three editors based in the UK, Finland and South Africa, and its contributors from the UK, Finland, South Africa, Italy, the United States, and Canada. It documents and explores critically the most central themes found in Gabriel's work. These are divided into three conceptual areas arising from Gabriel's activity as a songwriter and recording artist, performer and activist: 'Identity and Representation', 'Politics and Power', and 'Production and Performance'. Hill’s contribution to the planning and editorial process was 33%.
