The study develops a new method for tourism carbon footprint assessment, Life Cycle Energy Analysis (LCEA), and tests its applicability in the hospitality industry by conducting a holistic carbon impact appraisal of two hotels in the UK. It also outlines a new approach to estimating the carbon footprint of hotel laundry and catering services.
