Additional information

This paper is based on collaboration between academia and the oil-gas industry in Malaysia. The novel Dynamic Design Verification procedure presented allows quick identification of structural weaknesses in industrial pumps and provides an excellent alternative to the more classical monitoring methods. The procedure can be very attractive to engineering companies and research scientists due to the extended possibility of performing reliable assessments on all types of industrial machinery.
