Additional information

<16>Quality of service (QoS) is an important attribute for web services. When using web services a developer should use and have access to the “best” available service. Current web services specifications fail to address this issue as quality is not part of the Web Service Description Language (WSDL). This paper proposes a lightweight extension to the WSDL through a generic QoS meta-model to incorporate QoS specifications. The second contribution of the paper is the proposed QoS meta-model that can be used by the developers to select the best web-service in terms of the attributes defined in the metamodel.
