Estrogenic micropollutant adsorption dynamics onto nanofiltration membranes
New membranes and efficient processes are needed for the removal of micropollutants to obtain potable water. This paper investigated membrane filtration conditions that minimise adsorption on nanofiltration membranes and thus enhance the removal of micropollutants. A novel model for the filtration process was developed that accurately predicts the permeate concentration of adsorbing micropollutants.
