Elastic Modulus of a Polymer Nanodroplet: Theory and Experiment
This paper was the first to present measurement of the elastic modulus of a polymer nanodroplet. This new methodology has potential application to the control and manipulation of matter at the nanoscale. The work was funded by a competitive studentship from the Onassis Foundation (http://www.onassis.gr/en/ ). It has been presented in an invited talk in the 11th International Conference on Nanostructured Materials (NANO2012), Rhodes, Greece, 26-31 August, 2012; http://www.nano2012.org/. It is currently being extended in collaboration with The University of Crete and The Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) (http://www.iesl.forth.gr/, rissanou@tem.uoc.gr and bitsanis@iesl.forth.gr ).
