Additional information

Industry (e.g. Steve Denton (email available), Parsons Brinkerhoff) has long held concerns over the thermal performance of FRP strengthened structures under normal service conditions. This paper provided the first design model to address these issues, and the work was incorporated into the latest edition of Concrete Society Technical Report 55 (http://edin.ac/162Q3Ef; r.day@concrete.org.uk), which is used internationally.
